This is a very old comic I did over a year ago.

I wanted to do a comic version of a scene from Gregory Maguire's novel 'Wicked'.

It's pretty much a word for word adaptation of the scene just before Boq and the gang go to the Philosophy Club, and just before Glinda and Elphaba head off to the Emerald City. Erm, the script is also not accurate, because I did it from memory.

Oh yeah, importantly!! I always picture them taking a train to the Emerald City, even though it specifically says it is impossible because the railroad wasn't built yet. Go figure.

Done in Photoshop + Open Canvas

Gregory Maguire's text copyright Gregory Maguire.

This is perfect. I did some sketches of this part of the book some time ago (they're not in DA) but ... Wow, you're work is like the best adaptation of that scene. And I love the old-look of the comic. Beautiful.

Really? No railroad? Then why do I remember Elphie and Glinda parting on the train when Elphie stays in the Emerald city? Was it just a bus type thing then?

Beautiful adaption. The panels are lovely, and I like the expressions on their faces! :D

I think the train influence is because of the musicak maybe? :)

I have no idea what to say about this other than that I love it. I absolutely love it. =] Your attention to detail is spectacular and every single panel turns out looking beautiful. The coloring you used and your style work so well together.

Ooh! Your script was better than the Wicked one. It was amazing!
